The fine print
FAQ
Where does the league take place?+
In Jacob Ferrell's backyard at 86 N 2300 W, Kaysville, UT. The shed is climate controlled, has a couch, electricity, and a full golf simulator inside.
Park at the house (not in the driveway), walk through the fence gate on the north side, and enter the door on the south side of the shed.

What software does the league use?+
Three things working together:
- This website — book tee times, see the schedule, standings, and tournament recaps.
- SGT (Simulator Golf Tour) — your account here tracks your rounds, scores, handicap, and the league standings. You only need to make this once.
- GSPro — the simulator software that holds the courses. It's already set up in the shed; it talks to SGT automatically.
How do I create my SGT account?+
Use this league join link so you're added to the right club:
Same account you'll use every time you come — it auto-tracks rounds, handicap, and the leaderboard.
What do I need to bring?+
Your own clubs and balls. Specifically:
- Clubs— clean. There's a club washer on the outside of the simulator (the cart kind) so you can knock dirt and grass off before you swing.
- Balls — clean and free of colored logos. The simulator spin rates will smear colored logos onto the screen material over time.
- Shoes — sneakers or golf shoes, your call.
Don't have clubs? Loaner sets available — text Jacob with your height and dominant hand.
When can I play?+
Available tee time slots:
- Weekdays: evenings (5 PM and 8 PM are the defaults).
- Saturday: any time, all day.
- Sunday: none.
If you want a weekday morning or afternoon slot, that's usually fine — but I won't be home to let you in, so I'll need to show you how to start things up first. For your first round, please pick a standard time so I can be there to walk you through it.
Book once per two-week tournament so you don't miss a round.
Will someone show me how to use the simulator?+
Yes — for your first round in Tournament 1, I'll meet you at the shed and walk you through everything (SGT, GSPro, the launch monitor, all of it). It's pretty straightforward. After the first time you'll be self-sufficient.
Are handicaps taken into account?+
Yes. SGT calculates and updates your handicap automatically as you play, and net standings respect it.
To start you off, give me a number from GHIN or 18Birdies if you have one. If you don't, just tell me roughly what you've shot in your last 3–4 rounds and I'll set a starting point.
Can I play with others?+
Absolutely — and you should. A round runs about 2 hours for a group of 2–3. When you book a tee time, you can see how many other players have signed up for that slot. Sign up with someone for the company; play solo if that's your speed.
What's the format?+
Two tournaments a month, each ~14–16 days. One starts on the 1st, one on the 16th. The full schedule for the active league is on the Leagues page.
What if I can't play one tournament?+
We drop your worst result so missing one is fine. Miss too many and you'll fall out of season contention, but tournament-by-tournament prizes are still on the table any time you tee it up.
How many people will be in the league?+
Floor is 10 players; ceiling is around 30. First come, first in. If we don't hit the minimum, I'll refund everyone.
